'LOVE LETTERS IN THE SAND"

The concept of being in love is as old as the ages. It seems the Romantic Period in English Literature festooned the human spirit like never before. Lord Byron lead the way in poetic romance. Once I was a "Teenager in Love" with Diane Elizabeth but I will never go there with my "Pen in Hand." RIP DEC.

It seems LOVE and the barometric sways of human existence has always been the same. Perfumes and spices may change but not the heart throb.  A glass of wine..why not?

If I turn back the times to 1964 I resided in North Truro, Mass  at the Crapser Cottages and served my Country ass a National Park Ranger... but I went much deeper into the sands on a steep cliff;I read poetry  listening to the surf pound high. Salt spray on my face was wonderful. It was me. A lifetime later.. it is still me.  I read Henry David Thoreau and ; George Gordon, Sixth Lord Byron. I was 22 years old!

The visceral experiences Cape Cod offers is amazing....and it was Kennedy's Executive Order  in August of 1961 that the Outer Cape  would never be exploited with commercialism.

In ORLEANS ,at the Rotary lies COOKE'S OF ORLEANS SEAFOOD. My friend Spiro and his team of Jenny and Jimmy are #1. Jcts of Rte 6 A & 26  GPS 1 South Orchard Road Orleans Phone 508-255-5518.  www.cookesorleans.com. Mouth watering. "Clam up!"  Chow down."

The Outer Cape will always be romantic. Nature abounds. P-Town is unique. Herring Cove Beach.. No matter which way I turn, Cape Cod , Cape Cod, Cape Cod. Cape Cod!

Two books to read: "THE OUTERMOST HOUSE " by Henry Beston
and Images of America 'CAPE COD NATIONAL SEASHORE..THE FIRST 50 YEARS.'  Daniel Lombardo.
