HONOR THY FATHER AND MOTHER

I had wonderful parents! Rita and Joe were special in my life.I've written about both and in reviewing my writing I am inspired. One thought comes to mind is I bought them their first colored television upon returning from my year in Vietnam. It was me giving them things they deserved. Another time I bought dad a riding mower. I lived for free and wanted to repay them for what they gave me. My folks were special having instilled in me morality, integrity and happiness. Now it is my charge to share these virtues with my sons and grandchildren!

Last July 30 Amy Paquette took more than 60 photographs of my 80th Birthday Party! Amy documented the many aspects of the event. Amy presented me with a leather-bound portfolio. Today I have the memoir as a reminder of a very happy event. I suggest everybody do as Amy did. . Tonight I reviewed the memoir as a reminder of my 80th event.  Cameras are instruments with a memory!

MY MOUNT WASHINGTON MEMORY

Back in June of 1963 I worked atop Mount Washington in the hotel as a cook. It was a memory that lasted for a month. I experienced seeing the the overhead lights shake as the winds clocked 90 mph. The heatwave in Boston brought everyone to the mountain's summit. I rode the Cog train down to the base station and back.On a clear day you could see the Atlantic Ocean on the horizon to the east.I became bored and returned home to North Brookfield, Mass.

NO MORE TUMS FOR THE TUMMY!

I  have discovered how to eliminate upset stomach and the use to Tums! Last Friday night two ladies at the Legion in West Brookfield volunteered the use of  pure HONEY! I have tried this for one week and can say with confidence it works! I tried a teaspoon of pure honey at night before bed and one in the morning and can say say it works! Upset with acid reflux each morning this antidote of pure honey has solved my frustration!

ANOTHER BEGINNING WITH BLUE SCREEN

I think I'm back in business. My Dell has been in the shop and I'm hopeful it is for the good so here goes.

Nurses have been good to Old Bob . I've enjoyed sitting out in the sunshine for days. I'm working on a tan! Today is too hot.

Received a photograph from The White House and a nice letter from The President. I sent him a letter following his State of the Union. There's power in the written word.

Chase is in Europe with Quaboag student friends.

NOW IS THE TIME TO REDEEM YOUR OLD COINS!

I once had a client sell his Walking Liberty Half Dollar collection. The sale fetched enough for him to buy a new car! Another time a lady from Spencer owned an 1877 Indian head cent that fetched $200. I have been dealing in old coins since 1954 when I earned a Coin Collecting merit badge. I have seen bull markets in 1980 when silver hit the Moon at $50.00an ounce. Many folks redeemed their silver dollars for $25 each. Since then silver has leveled off to $23.74 an ounce.Gold is at $1985.60 an ounce. Do you have coins in blue Whitman albums? I pride myself in being fair and honest so why don't you give me a call? 508-867-3360 - 9-5

Tomorrow night UCONN goes  for the national title in NCAA title in men's basketball. It was a clear day today.

A LATE SATURDAY

This Saturday saw a variety of activities. Josh burned a big pile brush at the Poodle to getting a new battery for the Allante to the tune of $177.74 from NAPA W.B. The Boston Red Sox sported a walk-off home run in the ninth inning. The evening basketball games witnessed two victories with exciting UCONN victorious with a position to the final game Monday night. My Saturday was late and rewarding.
