IS DONALD TRUMP FOR REAL?

Think of all the energy The Donald is using in his quest for the Presidency. Is he for real? He generates more news in 24 hours than Eisenhower generated in

8 years.

FOX News Water's  World is truly entertaining. It is becoming more of a nightly watch for yours truly. It reveals who ignorant the man on the street really is... and the women really are.

We are a Nation of "tube watchers."

TRUMP CONTINUES TO SLAM MEMBERS OF THE PRESS

In an unrelenting manner, Donald J. Trump addressed his veteran's munificence of $5.6 million donations without any humility. He was brash and let the media know exactly how he felt. There was not any mercy given to the overflow at Trump Tower in Manhattan. His carrying on was Trump-as-usual. I did hear the name of the Vietnam Veterans' Workshop in Boston gaining $75,000. I know of this organization.

Trump rules the roost. It's his show and he knows it. Quicker than lightening in answering questions and picking out who he wants to answer same, Donald Trump seems to reign supreme. Can he do it? With June first tomorrow, the finish line to victory seems to be inevitable. I think more and more voters will be getting on the Trump bandwagon.

I am preparing in getting a "TRUMP FOR PRESIDENT" lawn sign.  I think the other candidates are fading. So much for now. Give them hell, Donald. Is it only a matter of time ?

Beautiful Tuesday. I did dirty laundry.. Now I must make my bed in order to lie in it! Left knee seems to be a little better.

HOW I GOT JACKIE KENNEDY'S AUTOGRAPH - TWICE!

As an admitted autograph hound, I pride myself is knowing how to "get lucky."

Luck is defined where preparedness meets opportunity. I gave it aa shot and I realized what it is like to be "in the right place at the right time."

Whenever you write a letter it must have meaning and purpose. No matter who or what you must be on target with your message... just look at my success with LBJ. I had the same success with George H. W. Bush. Your message must be genuine and thoughtful.

Jackie Kennedy has almost passed away when I created a memorial cover commemorating the 30 Anniversary of the JFK Assassination. I wanted to create a unique cover bearing postage stamps of our slain President and attendant postmarks
Plus, I gave my creation a theme...a poignant quote of meaning and purpose.

I am using this example to teach my grandkids what it means to be creative. I am certain, in time, my kids will get lucky in sending a letter to someone rich and famous.

Why don't you try creating something that will bring you exciting results?!

ALL THE WAY, MR. PRESIDENT!

Some things are eternal. Such is the case of getting a letter from LBJ's General, A. O. Connor. As a Private I wrote the President telling him how I felt about the training I was receiving at Ft. Sam Houston. The pieces all fall into line as I, as an intellect, recognized the quality of training received... And I meant it. Most young men and women had other things on their minds. How rare for me to hit a grand slam home run.

The written word is the written word. " Letters of this nature are quite a rarity..".. for real. My recent correspondence connoting my high intellectual achievements in the U.S. Army tell me one thing.. I have things together. The letter from the Department of the Army is date September 16th, 1966. Oh so much water has gone over the dam since them.

Memories are made of this.

TOUCHED BY MY LITTLE ANGELS

My Memorial Day Holiday was highlighted by my grandchildren. They are so bright and reveal their smart ways by what they are achieving. This makes me more than feel so good. And to see Josh & Heidi steer the kids intellectually amazes me.

Just now I drove to Birch Hill  and found Lily and Heidi working on a school project :NEBRASKA. I hightailed it home to print out a Wikipedia contribution on the Cornhusker State. Clearly my little grand daughter will score at least 100!

Kids need to be mentored as I have written before.

The Memorial Night entertainment from DC was excellent. The Beach Boys are now old men like me. They still sing good vibrations. It was a colorful show aw were the President's comments at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It was sunny in DC and showed it all in red, white and blue.

There's so much to life if only we take it in and learn like my kids and grandkids.

Waylon Jennings sings "AMERICA" as I wind this blog down. Happy Holiday my friends.

THE ROLLING THUNDER OF DONALD TRUMP

This guy keeps besting yesterday's performance. Today,

Donald Trump is in Washington, DC and gave an extemporaneous speech of the same old stuff. "China, Carrier, The Other Wall," and all those good things. Trump has promised so much to so many millions Americans I feel like crying. It's good for our souls on Memorial Day.

I recall being in Vietnam on Memorial Day in 1967 when a friend is quoted saying "Memorial Day is when we honor the Living and the Dead."

Earlier in the day Son Josh took my Toro to task doing a great day in cleaning up my yard for the holiday. Looks good, Josh. Thanks.

Went food shopping to Hannaford Brothers buying over $40 worth of foodstuff. Same-ole same-ole.

I enjoyed watching the first hour of the INDY 500. I have a great affection for the Brickyard, Indianapolis, Indiana and friend and brother, St. Louis fellow Attorney Bill Gross. How lucky can I be?

Weather is deteriorating. Monday looks like a washout. We can handle it.

My pageviews are climbing doubling from 20 to 40. Why? Don't tell anybody!

"Enjoy life all you can... it is a mistake not to." Rolls Royce ad of yesteryear.

MY SERGEANT MAJOR'S FAVORITE SOLDIER - ME!

All of life is political. Weather you are in military uniform or in civilian clothing, life can radiate from

a smile or a handshake. It is not who you are but who people perceive you to be. While serving in Vietnam in 1967 and early 1968 this is the way it was. I couldn't do no wrong... or so it seemed.

SGM Claude Russell. Top Dog liked me and sponsored me to "run for office" as Soldier of the Month. I was told what to do and how to do it. It worked. As reported in previous blogs I won twice. I was taught how to prepare for competition and it worked. Fifty years later  I am proud. Now I have a grandson, Chase Robert who, too, is razor sharp.

Today Chase introduced me to GEOCACHING!It is awesome as I look at my SmartPhone. It shows my location and coordinates N 042  W 072, etc. It is awesome and to think my grandson knows so much. He is so hip in all of life. His favorite is the late Walt Disney so I am building a Disney group of quotes, etc.

I think kids today need to be so sophisticated. Age has nothing to do with it. My 74 years minus 2 months can mentor this young man. He's so responsive to my messages of life. We are on the same page. Keep it up, Chase!Pops loves you!

I got a scalping today from "Josh The Barber." The clipping is good until Christmas. Who cases.. I wear a hat!

A Trump Golf Book can be had at The Book Bear.. WB. Pass.

Johnson have back last week's winnings at the casinos. One man admitted in winning $180,000! I just can't imagine winning BIG BUCKS.

Taking a bath in the tub is another thing. Should be some political junk food on at 9:00. I'm tired.

MCNAMARA' FOLLY

LBJ called Robert Strange McNamara "Lard Head." McNamara's presence was that of a "brain." I never liked the guy as he came across as being too smart in the Vietnam War. I think Lyndon Johnson leaned too much on RSM and it shows. Now there's a new book out about how soldiers were exploited in the Vietnam War for being dumb; MCNAMARA'S FOLLY the story of 354,000 who were takin into the military

Hamilton Gregory, served in the Army Intelligence in Vietnam in 1968-1969 and writes how low-life conscripts in Project 100,000 just didn't cut it, intellectually and all other ways of serving Uncle Sam as a soldier. The soldiers were victims. "The cold, hard statistics say that these almost helpless young men died in jungles at a rate  three times higher than the average draftee." Amazing.

There were young men  in Project 100,000 who went to Vietnam and about half saw combat. The numbers are staggering and sad. In Basic Training at Fort Knox I prided my self in "putting on my thinking cap" knowing if I did not achieve good test results my ass would be "cake."

In writing to Hamilton Gregory this morning questioning my test scored  Mr. Gregory wrote back "Your GT Score places you in the top mental category...you were successful in  high aptitude positions."

I will buy the book  McNamara's Folly with the hope of learning about Vietnam. Fifty years is a long time to wait for gaining the truth. Maybe YouTube has something on McNamara's Folly. To think the American Government had the audacity to exploit for so many in an in just cause. I am sick about this 50 years later. Amazing.

THE FLAMBOYANT DONALD TRUMP

People like a showman. Trump is a showman of the highest order. Personally I like The Donald's style. He is amazing and has a certain appeal to the common man. Shakespeare said the world's a stag and it truly is. Many of the previous Presidents climbed life's ladders, all unique... all unique. Trump never had to climb a ladder but you know what? I don't think many hold him for his wealth! I know I don't.

Donald Trump will be called to his task as President. Despite Trump's curse demeanor I am sure he can turn on the charm.. he better! There will be a lot to learn from the forthcoming run for the White House. The Clinton's have much at stake.. namely their pride! Too much water over the Clinton's dam if you ask me !
Blog reader, Mike Lee hasn't opined too much on the Clintons. Can they escape all of the controversies? Frankly, ladies and gentlemen, it is far from being over. ANYTHING can happen. Watch our for Rip Van Winkle.. the white-haired uncle from Vermont.. Bernie Sanders. Trump has challenged him to the $10 million debate. Amazing! Roll the dice, flamboyant

ones!

WAY TO GO, DONALD TRUMP!

It's like a miracle at the Trump Tower in Manhattan. The Donald has triumphed over more than 15 Republican candidates for the nomination of the Republican Party. This is an amazing conquest for Mr. Trump, who at age 69 is full of vim and vigor. Granted, Donald Trump is one of the richest men in America and one sharp dude. It is amazing.

I think Trump's message to Americans is plausible. People are sick and tired of business as usual in government and are willing to give this guy a big vote of confidence. I have been following the Trump saga for months on ends and am a believer in this one man's tenacity. Trump has got it.

Donald Trump must pull all fragmented pieces together. Me must be careful of the July Convention in Cleveland. Hate can fill the streets and hearts. Hillary will not take things sitting down. Now Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts will rely on her tomahawk for some scalps.

America will be entertained like it or not. I think this contest will bring out the best in Trump. Any way, Have  a pleasant Holiday Weekend!

DONALD TRUMP AS A CLOWN

The election is month's away and all of the candidates for the presidency are relenting in their causes. Trump- the- master just doesn't run out of putdowns and insults. The Donald is truly amazing at his game. But why? Was he this way as a kid or emerging adult? Now Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump have agreed to a debate before the California Primary. OMG.

The incredible thought occurred to me of a Trump\ Sanders Ticket in the Fall just to dump Hillary Clinton.

I went to the VA in Worcester and met with a therapist. Nice guy from new Jersey who gave me some exercise and directions to "come back in a week." Also paid several bills. My current goals is to have zero balances on my credit cards, etc.

It's hot and I savor some strawberry ice cream.

Computer seems to be workings better. Now gotta get SKYPE reconnected for Australia.

Met a "roofer" and Vietnam Veteran from Southbridge. Nice guy. I enjoy chatting with the good folks of Plated Earth. Got shot down in my quest to get more VA benefits. Some guys have all of the luck. Also bought a birthday card for Savannah...She will be 2 in a couple of weeks.

You can feel the Holiday Spirit in the May air.
