REMEMBERING JUNE MESSIER RIP 1960

Tragedies are never forgotten! The memory of classmate June Messier is evoked with each June passing. June's body was discovered in an automobile parked at Brooks Pond in September of 1960. June and her boyfriend were victims of carbon monoxide poisoning. How sad.

I was hired to dig June's Grave at St. Joseph Cemetery, NB.Fallen classmates like Richard Gagnon and June lived short lives while the rest of us make it to old age. Think of June as another June passes by!

"WELCOME TO WINE VILLAGE & LITTLE CANADA - NORTH BROOKFIELD"

I have an idea! Two locations in North Brookfield, MA deserve delineation. As time goes by, the memory and identity of Little Canada and Wine village deserve signs to that end. I don't know of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts offers such signage or even a civic organization would oblige... and I do believe it's high time to create an awareness.

Also, historic landmarks in the Brookfields need some polishing. In particular is the stone at 11 South Main Street, NB "Here stood the First Meeting House" is listing like the Andrea Dorea!

It is time act before everything is completely forgotten!

HOME SWEET HOME

After being home for 5 days as I look around my abode I delight in what I see! It is a sophisticated simplicity. I ambulate with my hand walker and am learning to "relive life."  I have had two good meals today and enjoy watching Aerial America. Josh is coming to take me to his outside shower.

THERAPY AT HOME

Today I experienced a good bout of therapy at home. Now, after being in bed for weeks I have been relegated to my easy chair! A new life is in order.

Professional therapists know their work well. I worked with ALAN who observed my many moves.. some good others requiring correction. I like this young man as he's the best!

He'll return tomorrow with some "growth" moves! Stay tuned!

LEARNING FRENCH PIMSLEUR APPROACH

In this day of international doings, it is never too late to learn a new language! French has been my choice and having had 3 years of this romance language in HS, Jr. College and SLU I delight in keeping my Franco-American heritage alive!

A while back Rudy Heller of Brookfield introduced me to PIMSLEUR APPROACH. This approach is awesome. It is an audio program you can listen to at home, in the car or office. Learning French is fun.

REMEMBERING JFK AT 102

No event in my lifetime equals the memory of our beloved slain president! John Fitzgerald Kennedy had it all. The world loved him. His charm spread the world like wildfire. His family was loved by all.

The JFK Library at Columbia Point, Boston, is a place for all Americans to visit. I have been there many times... and the new bookstore offers so much to his memory and interpretation of his times.

So, my fellow Americans "Ask not what your country can do for you?!"

Sincerely,

My biggest complaint is the ongoing pain in my left lower back. Goes away at night and returns upon arising. Need a walker to get around.. slowly.

Got a very nice anonymous hand written note of  encouragement from a reader., Thanks!

Looks like a full day ahead. R & R.

MEMORIAL DAY 2019

Well, I'm home at the Poodled and bedridden for the most part.Josh and Heidi are wonderful getting me arranged with medications and logistics. I have enough food for an army and now must learn to eat it.

Spent  more than an ahour watching Joss manicure his estate. Grandkids frolicked around as Pops looked on. It was idyllic! We enjoyed a great weekend to say the least.

Must get into more blogging!
