AS if I owed $1,000 in a past due electric bill. The tone of the trainee in trying to corner me with a $31.03 balance tells me  it is no longer like paying your Electric Bill and Ready Kilowatt at Benvenuti's Fruit Store. Impersonal , cold, manners prevail. When asked when I would pay the balance I said "January 1st, 2017."
