MY GROWING FAMILY AT CHRISTMAS

It was indeed a pleasure this Christmas Eve afternoon on Birch Hill.Chef Joshu did a splendid job in preparing every aspect of the feast. All three girls were dressed up in plaid dresses while mommy attended to the last minute gift wrapping. The Boston Patriotss captured the fan's attention in addition to Chase-Robert kicking a colorful soccer ball off the walls. too much.

Gift giving was cerebral. I presented astronomy books to the three older kids as a pair of white ice skates went to Evelyn.A used Fisher-Price electronic toy worked at will. Heidi gave me a nice new set of colorful bed sheets and pillow and case.Josh was presented with a great The Book of Business for his idle moments.

A miniature Crock-Pot rang Lily's chimes as she began learning all about cooking. What I really enjoyed was the fire gently burning and the warmth of my family's collective love.

The skies went from dreary to blue which lifted all spirits. And Josh gave me a haircut to boot. The day was topped off with a Christmas Eve nap to the tune of Humanity from Space.

My latest library book came in The American Way of Eating by Tracie McMillan. Should be a good read.

May watch The Pope from Rome?
