This automobile, a 2008 Honda Accord with almost one quarter million miles on it passes my sniff test! The most miles ever clocked came on an 1982 Mercedes 240 D that lasted 10 years with a minimum of repairs. Now my Rhonda Honda wins the "High Mileage Award."
The perceptions of a Honda, many times are wrong! My car was manufactured in San Francisco, not Japan. My Honda has all of the accoutrements new Hondas have, but less swagger. Too many times folks will say New car, Bob?" Because I keep it polished and change the oil every 3,000 miles I fool people!
The concept of having high miles just doesn't warrant my getting head over heels in debt. Both Marion Varney and Frank Cooke said to me, "your car is paying you dividends." Sure there'll be repair bills every now and then but the reality is 'It runs new!"
Every aspect of owning a spiffy new car or truck tells me the buyers are saying" Look at me!" This is EGO. My car is a SMART CAR!
SonJosh bought this Honda on 10/27.2011 for $22,920.57 The odometer read 22,169. This means 'father & son have clocked 220,ooo miles plus in 8 years!
"It is better to wear out than rust out!" Frank Cooke
The fate of my Honda is problematic. How long will she keep purring? I just paid $1.50 for Free Air in my tires. In the last months I have clocked 700 miles in trips to Cooperstown and Vermont. "such a deal!" Have you driven a HONDA Lately? LOL.
