WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

It was dark, a senior lady was in distress as I walked by her car with the hood up. At first I kept walking to my spiffy black Honda Accord. As I passed her again I noticed she was having trouble removing her oil fill cap. It was stubborn but so am I.As I fidgeted in my attempt of removal I co0ncluded the lady needed help.

I was successful in getting the oil cap to think "my way." The lady was appreciative. One thing led to another as she poured a quart of SAE 30 into her Saturn.

She volunteered "I work for a screw company in Southbridge.. J.I. Morris! Peter B. and John Dirlam hired me as an auctioneer almost 4 decades ago! I called a benefit auction for Old Sturbridge Village Library and Etta Falkner! I believe I raised over $4,000 for the cause.

Tonight in my pertinacious ways I employed one of my auctioneer tricks...being stubborn and determined!

People need help and we all must be willing to lend a hand. No matter our ages.."A friend in need is a friend indeed." When you give a hand to your fellow your self esteem perks up a notch or too. Try it!
