Ok, here's the truth! I lazily placed some paperwork of over-due bills on the front burner. My "professional " fixed my stove's burner. I have been using the smaller rear burner exclusively as the front was out-of kilter. okay, now I inadvertently turned on the front burner heating a pan of "hot-dog water." I turned my back and "where there's smoke there's fire."
I yanked the paper off the burner and shut the damn burner off. My Smoke Alarm did not go off.
Stoves and old people (forgetful) don't mix! MICROWAVES TO THE RESCUE.
My stove's pigtail 3 pronged ELECTRIC connection has been pulled out. I AM LUCKY! MY WHIRLPOOL TOOK ME FOR A WHIRL. LOL.
