My Uncle Sam taught me well on th Fort Knox Reigfle Range inm 1966! Despite my non-sportsman life....I enjoyed learning with the M-14. I was a Sharpshooter. Never in Vietnam do I recall holding a rifle.
But let me tell you: A SMALL SEWER WAS DRAINED NEAR BY AND 14 m-14 RIFLESS WERE FOUND AT THE BOTTOM. Yes, some soldiers threw their rifles in the crap-pool. So...this is a matter to broach.
"NO BRASS OR AMMUNITION, SERGEANT!"..
Here's a thought: Cigarettes, cigars and pipes kill more people each year than guns/!
I went to college in St. Louis, MO surrounded by the ghetto. From 1962 to graduation in February of 1965 I HAVE LIVED THE GRIM REALITY of working in Lou's Smoke Shop and booze parlor. Derelicts taught me in the way of reality.
O used to coach me in my practice of James T. "Red" Lawless.. "YOU GOTTSA USE YOUR HANDS, BOB. You know gesticulating is imperative in speech delivery. I received an "A" In Business and Professional Speech! This training of self-con fidence has paved my "highway of life"...no sweaty palms...standing tall. Corporate-Aetna, Auctioneering, civic assignments..as Charlie Bush said "I KNOW THE WAY."
To be sure...Kennedys were eloquent, especially JFK. History says Abraham Lincoln had a squeaky voice!
