ON KEEPING BUSY

The secret to enduring the Carolina  Hurricane here in New England  is as follows:

• Don't over react! What may happen may not ever happen.
• Consider alternatives such as watching the Weather Channel w/o any volume
• Organize your lives: go through your closet and get rid of clothes.
• Take one room at a time.. Simplify.
• Buy 2 newspapers as I did today: The New York Times & The USA Today.
•  Listen to Beethoven's Symphonies: 6th (Pastorale) & 9th. These are inspiring.
• Reach out to your friends by calling or visiting them.
• Spend a couple of hours in silence.

Carolina is set to receive "10 trillion gallons of water from Florence."
 The Internet calls this hurricane Storm of a Lifetime.

My son Ben and Family and Charlene Whitman are in the path of this tempest residing in the Carolinas.  But wait! This hurricane is over 500 miles south of  Cape Fear."

Home Depot delights in this charade as do all super markets on the East Coast. Not to worry. A good time to use the food you already have bought.

Speaking of food.. my blood sugar read before breakfast was 94. Doing fine.
