I have been mesmerized with Lord Byron since 1961. Amongst other things Frank Cooke introduced me to Byron, his poetry and daughter Diana! This tryst transformed my thinking from that of a carpenter and bedlaster to wild thinking of a reasonable genius. I resdponded accordingly as a sponge is to water.
I took Byron to Saint Louis, bought a book The Poetical Works of Lord Byron (1788-1814).. An article in The Times of New York Dedec. 30, 2002, recounts Byron's life. "Lord Byron Was The Mick Jagger of his time."" Mad, bad and dangerous to know."
This romantic poet appealed to both sides of the sexual fence. Byron was a naughty boy! His brain was humongous and his ink pen fluid. His writings blow me away!
Last year I gave "my Byron" a book embossed in gold. The cover is worth the 8 bucks I shelled out to the Bear of Books.
Now I want to inspire my grandkids. Ask way day's name is so Byronic! I truly love the works of Lord Byron. Thanks, Frank!
