THE PLAINTIVE MOOD OF OUR COUNTRY

The mood of America is melancholy. Killings have usurped our spirits. Trump revealed staggering statistics last night in his acceptance speech. A firmness in resolve should correct the direction of our runaway train. We have to be resolute if we want the return of law and order.

America is so beautiful. The splendor of our seashores, sand and mountaintops give pause to the big cities and suburbs. Nature abounds in America. Our National Parks invite us to rusticate... to get away from it all. Vacations can heal our spirits. We must return to being an upbeat Nation.

The wonderful Interstate system beckons us, once again  to see the USA in our Chevrolets...and Fords and Pontiacs.
