Absolute power is corrupting and dismantling the Republican party. Old Abe Lincoln must be hiding his head in shame. American Party Politics has gone south. Donald Trump seems to be quickly becoming a one man show. His friends are the electorate who have had it.
Some remember when Mitt Romney's father George "flipped out" with the media in his race for president in 1968. Mr. Romney may have been more powerful than Mr. Trump, Donald's father? Machiavelli is quoted as saying "where there's power there's corruption." In defense of Donald Trump I submit his talents in closing a deal are exceptional.
The power war of these two rich boys is redefining everything. Today's technologies make yesterday's televisions look like a fuzzy black and white picture. The jet sets of Trump and Romney are moving so fast, the Concorde looks like the Spirit of St. Louis. Self-destruction will always be an option for all presidential candidates. We need some of Aretha Franklin's chant: "R-E-S-P-E-C-T!" Who do these guys think they are? The pope? LOL.
So many things can and may happen. Don't wager the rent money yet.. nor has the fat lady practiced here song. One thing in this election is sure: Nothing.
