AMERCAN AUTOMOBILES OF THE THIRTIES

The Princeton Auto Museum at the foothills of Mount Wachusett served me, my family well in the 1940s! Antique cars just couldn't be "let go" as new models came along. Al Gargagangino  hosted second to none!

Just now I snapped up a book at Hannaford entitled CARS OF THE 30'S  FOR A $2 DONATION! This one book is awesome for a retro-review of cars of that era. My dad inculcated and instructed me in the ways of cars that were Built to Last!

Step back in time an review the manufacturers names:
  • Auburn     'Remarkable value, untimely demise.'
  • American Austin
  • American Bantam
  • Buick & Marquette
  • Cadillac & LaSalle
  • Chevrolet  "How Number One got that way."
  • Chrysler
  • Cord
  • DeSoto
  • Doble
  • Dodge
  • Duesenberg - "Dedication to excellence for a fortunate few"
  • Ford "Popular then, a legend today."
  • Franklin
  • Graham
  • Hudson, Essex, & Terraplane
  • Hupmobile
  • Lincoln
  • Marmon & Roosevelt
  • Mercury
  • Nash & Lafayette
  • Oldsmobile & Viking
  • Packard "Prestige and the price for survival"
  • Pierce - Arrow
  • Plymouth
  • Pontiac & Oakland
  • Reo
  • Studebaker & Oakland
  • Stutz
  • Willys & Whippet
Our 21st Century cars are like miniature Space Shuttles! What next? Many cars today are considered to be Throw-Away! Junk yards are full of JUNKS! Back then.. not so. Morris Lubin made a living selling car parts and the precious memories of Princeton and Brookfield and even Harold Kenneway's STURBRIDGE AUTO MUSEUM is a page in time.

Thanks Dad.. you inspired me at a very tender age!
