THE SAD AND ABRUPT ENDING TO JFK MIMMICK VAUGHN MEADER

President Kennedy seemed to laugh at life. His pearly whites are evident in every aspect of his persona. It seemed you could predict when a smile was coming. Comedy opened the White House door as one Vaughn Meader of Maine hit with an enormous LP Album  "The First Family." It sold 7 million copies and catapulted Mr. Meader into stardom. The album was so successful he went on to win the Grammy Award in 1963.




It seemed the album was so popular Meader "went on to perform his Kennedy" impersonations  on variety shows and in nightclubs around the country. and was profiled in several magazines according to Wikipedia. It seems Meader was as popular as JFK and for good reason.




The day Kennedy Died is the day Meader died.His appearing on the Ed Sullivan Show and on Time & Life Covers ended it all when the President was assassinated. Meader looked like JFK and sounded like JFK.. acted like JFK. Check out YouTube for some wondeful Meader memories.
