RON BIGDA'S TELEVISION GRAVEYARD

In my two car garage right now are 32 dozen flat screen televisions. It is a sign of the times: THROW IT AWAY! Not so fast! If Cuba  has endured the quarantine for over 50 years and have sustained transportation ways on the Island-Country with Chevrolets and Fords pre-1962, why can't Geeks rise to the challenge and repair these Flat Screen TVs.

I grew up in a loving home in the 40s and 50s in rural North Brookfield, Mass. Dad was a mechanical  genius. He jerry-rigged things such as a table model Philco TV and converted it into a console cabinet! The Depression of the Thirties had a motto "Save it... we may need sit someday" and we did.

Are people that lazy today to employ the rule of saving: ' A SOUND MAN IS GOOD AT SALVAGE AT SEEING NOTHING IS LOST!".. a Chinese Proverb.

From vacuum tube radios and televisions came the transistor sets. Innovative. No longer did we watch the class tubes glow and generate heat. Radio and television technicians replaced tubes not mother boards. It was easier to replace television picture tubes than the whole set. Console Zenith Color Sets were in vogue 4O YEARS AGO. I know this. Today, my new 75" SONY Smart TV is no thicker than a pack of WINSTONS. But wait. What about the old sets?

Ronald T. Bigda, Sage, is retiring. For 60 years Ronnie has climbed the Electronic Ladder of success. On December 30th at 11:00Am his auction will commence. I,  the auctioneer plan on  pulling rabbits out of the hat AS THE SAYING GOES. Volts, Ohms, Capacitors, Frequency Counters, Oscillators, TV Analyzers, AM Stereo and all that good stuff will be auctioned off to the HIGHEST BIDDER!

The auction will be SHOCKING! LOL.

A preview will be held the day before. Currently we have 7 Innings under our preparation belts..Ron, Joe and Bobby P.

Stay Tuned...LOL.
