According to Wikipedia the Mississippi River is 1968 feet wide at St. Louis.
Last night I watched on the Smithsonian channel about the roots of the mighty Mississippi. I am dazzled by how much in depth this channel captures elements of nature we never thought of. Further I am dazzled to think in the Spring of 1963 I piloted an Amphicar across the river. Talk about guts!
Next Wednesday night I will be in attendance with the second chapter of MISSISSIPPI! Saint Louis will probably be featured. Hope so.
