SOME MARIJUANIA BASICS

Terms like weed, pot, dope, reefer, heat, Mary Jane, Aunt Mary, gangster, boom, skunk are a few street terms for marijuana. There are others but the above makes my point.

California passed a law, Proposition 215 in 1996... for medicinal purposes. Today, lines are forming in Leicester, MA - a non-medical  retail shop sporting hundred and maybe thousands waiting  to buy some grass!

As a non-user I am ignorant. I am amazed .  New terms like lid, match box, nickel bag, dime bag, quarter and brick refer to amounts purchased. To me this is a whole new experience.

The legalization of anything implies laws and restrictions and controversies. The glass pipe used is the bong. The implications of legalized marijuana will redefine things, perhaps. Now you may wonder why Prohibition was so ridiculous.

Cannabis is another medical term for POT.
Wikipedia is my source for all of the above.

In Massachusetts it's the Cannabis Control Commission with Steven Hoffman as it head. According the State House news Service "The CCC has now granted 52 provisional licenses,17 final licenses and has given the ultimate green light to begin three retailers, two testing laboratories, a cultivator and marijuana product manufacturer."
