GEORGE M. COHAN

It seems the name of George M. Cohan is nearly forgotten these days. North Brookfield was Cohan's only boyhood he loved in visiting his grandparents on Bell Street each summer..

Cohan's patriotic verve in WWI really made the difference. "OVER THERE" was so big in the USA's war effort. It seems the legacy of George M. is not given the just due his memory deserves! Our youth must know about the "Man Who Owned Broadway!"

While attending the Desert Storm Parade in NYC in 1991 all I heard play on the loud speakers were Cohan tunes!
