THE WHITE HOUSE

President John Adams was the first U.S. President to live in The White House.

AMERICA'S BELOVED ANTIQUE HOUSE

Situated om 18 acres, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC. is known, worldwide! Each week some 30,000 visitors stop by for a grandiloquent tour. Some of the most precious and valuable antiques can be seen.

The details of The White House are staggering.132 rooms in 55,000 square feet of living space. There are 35  bathrooms and 28 fireplaces. The charm of 'The House" cannot be overstated. Wikipedia tells me there are 3 elevators, one bowling alley, a theater, a jogging track, a swimming pool and putting green.

I think this real estate goes with its residents. Sure, it is an antique home but it is emblematic of POTUS.

I have visited The White House several times beginning in 1960 while on my Class Trip. Two years later First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, on February 14, 1962, stole the hearts of the world with her famous tour narrated by Charles Collingwood. You can find this tour on YouTube.

With Spring around the corner maybe another visit to DC is in order...Cherry Blossom time?

The historic White House is the essence of our democratic freedom. A MAN'S HOUSE IS TRULY HIS CASTLE!
