November 22, 1963, is perhaps, too, was a "Day of Infamy!" Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941, is not known today by many, but a few. The day Kennedy died is emblazoned on our souls. How can we forget when the History Channel and the Smithsonian Channels keep playing reruns of the killing?
A YouTube Special summarizes what JFK was all about: Charm, intelligence, wit, photogenic, rich, and most of all human! JOHN F. KENNEDY - "YEARS OF LIGHTENING, DAY OF DRUMS" is the best in my opinion.
John F. Kennedy was like no other president. JFK knew how to behave in all interviews and knew when to be serious. The Cuban Missal Crisis brought out the best in his persona. Kennedy surrounded himself with educated, sensitive advisors.
On the local scene, IFK and Jackie were no strangers to Brookfields, Spencer, and elsewhere. JFK really knew how to be president and it showed. His eloquence as a speaker was the best!
November 22 will mark Thanksgiving and the 55th Anniversary of the day Kennedy was assassinated. The stigma of "Dallas" just doesn't seem to go away. While conspiracies continue to abound, the warm memories of John Fitzgerald Kennedy prevail.
Why not take time to explain to your grandchildren on just who President Kennedy really was?! Better yet travel to the JK Museum & Library in Dorchester. It's worth the trip!
