OUR SACRED HERITAGE IN THE BROOKFIELDS

Famed author, pilot, inventor, radio guru and friend, Richard Brian Johnson advises me "go to an area without power lines for clear night-time radio reception." At dawn I did; FOSTER Hill Olde Brookfield.

My curious mind saw me glissading through the digital radio offerings from WBAL in Baltimore to Canadian station in HALIFAX, Nova Scotia. I tuned into NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, Carolina, Louisville and more. As my eastern sky brightened I decided to read the USA Today. The sky is clear as a bell and the birds and the bees were having FUN.

At sunrise I alighted my Honda and was captivated by a granite marker connoting the FIRST BURIAN GROUND -1660! To think centuries have passes since "bones were laid to rest " of Englishmen who opted to come to the New World." What was it like?

The wonderful windrow of more than 20 maple trees planted in 1910 reveal the veracity of Foster Hill. Too bad men and women are too busy to take their children atop FH and review the historic markers. Worse yet is their ignorance of our Sacred Trust. If kids don't have a clue who  DRIGHT FOSTER was OR  are oblivious to the fact JOHN ADAMS once was in town as was George Washington, future generations will be truly Historically Illiterate.

The Brookfields must clean up their historical act. Civic organizations should spearhead the campaign FOR a RENEWAL. Without pride in ownership odur Heritage turns into weeds. Miniature campaigns by teachers and students will rekindle what we stand for :LIBERTY.

Given today's technologies as miraculous, Quaboag Students can even produce a film of such sights and SELL them. American History is far more important than having a banner hand in the school gymnasium! Kids can take their SpartCameras and document all of these poignant historic sights.
GOYA - Brookfielders!

GOOD ENOUGH IS NOT ENOUGH FOR ME.I demand the best!

Involve your kids, grandkids, the neighbor's kids and yes, even your Kid Goats. Let's show the world how beautiful our BROOKFIELDS ARE Publish books. All of the tools are right at our fingertips.

If we don't cheer for our Historic Heritage Who Will?

THE BROOKFIELDS FOREVER!
