A BIGGER SNOWSTORM THAN EXPECTED

You just can't fool Mother Nature! I didn't give this dumping of snow much thought. I got up later, skipped my Country Corner routine and shot over to North Brookfield for a big bag of Navel Oranges and some Ban. The driving was treacherous. It was that bad and then some. We may have gotten close to a foot of the heavy white stuff. Son Josh had almost completed shoveling as I awaken from a February nap.

Route 9 was cleared nicely while downtown West Brookfield's highways left a lot to be desired. Having 4 new tires on my Pontiac Grand AM just didn't give me the confidence I had hoped for. I almost caused an accident near the NB Savings Bank. The honking of a horn alerted me.. close call..

I have watched more television today and tonight... primarily from New Hampshire and the democrats. It is good entertainment for a snowy night in February. I remain undecided . "He said...she said... Promises don't mean squat. Sanders is speaking and has a plausible argument...and so do all the others.

Got to make a trip to Bradley Field in the morning roads should be clear and passable. No plans for the casinos.

It seems to be a very long road to March First. On March 17, 1956, we had a doozy of a Nor 'easter. Snow lightening and a grounded Etrusco ship at Scituate, Mass. It took a high tide in November to set the ship back to sea. Then two more storms from the Northeast pounded us in 8 days. I remember it well. It took a bulldozer to open up Fullam Hill Road, North Brookfield. from drifts as high as the telephone wires!

SO, stay tuned to Winter 2016. Don't you just love it? I suppose there's a lining in every cloud.

Don't laugh Snow Birds...

Tub time..
