308 LAKESIDE, a new restaurant of "HAPPINESSS! opened on December 11, 2014. the youngest town in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has never been the same. The nascent newness transformed the Lashway Inn into oblivion. Senior principal William Scott Leach tells of this family enterprise as a" work in progress." It is incredible and I haven't even eaten at 308 Lakeside yet!
I entered this noon at the peak of a local funeral reception. I just couldn't believe how effervescing the adult crowd was - both inside and out. The auspicious atrium of glass peaks up and out overlooking Lashaway! I once lived in Scituate on Third Cliff. Walter Bennett spouted out: "Talk up the view." I say the same. The view is truly stunning.
"308" was built on the north shore of Route 9 and the south shore of the lake and affords views worth millions. Better yet you have a panoramic view of million dollar abodes including old Bob Pillsbury's shanti of yesteryear... aka A. J. Orlando,etc.
This 308 Lakeside enterprise is great for the Brookfields. "Risk and Reward" best describe the Leach family efforts and I wish them well. And yes, make mine sea scallops or fried clams...
