The summer of my discontent... is a way of saying it is just too darn hot!
Opening Day is at night against the Baltimore Orioles. Strange but true. We've never seen such an event with a fanless crowd. Millions of dollars are being lost on a daily basis. Some feel bad.. others don't!
It was Friday night on Birch Hill again. The music played on the Bose speakers. Kids were happily immersed in the swimming pool while the adults enjoyed a libation and hedged their bets in the BLOCK ROCK contest. Host Josh fired up the grill as I was leaving.
Earlier in the day I received a call from Dr. Edward Wei of Mass General.. Spaulding Framingham regarding my aches and pains in my flank, back and legs. We spoke at length and agreed another epidural injection was in order. Because the pain is constant son Josh said "Get in there the sooner the better."
And so it goes....Hot..hot..hot!
