MY DIETICIAN, SUE BURCHMAN'S RECOMMENDED DIABETES MENU

BREAKFAST:
  • Whole grain toast with peanut butter
  • Blueberries and cottage cheese
  • Eggs and whole wheat toast
LUNCH:
  • Tuna salad sandwich
  • Rotisserie chicken - make salad-put on whole wheat bread
  • Roasted TURKEY BREAST SANDWICH
  • Fruit: 1 cup watermelon, blueberries or banana
EVENING MEAL:

  • Birdseye Steam in Bag vegetables
  • Hamburger with vegetables - get steam-in-bag
  • Hummus with pita and Sautee onions, peppers or mushrooms
  • Boneless chicken with vegetables, brown rice
  • Use ground turkey to make chili or turkey meatloaf.
