The variety of offerings and prizes seems to bring out the best in everyone I think of the displays of the bounty - fruits and vegetables or the cages with chickens, etc. Children really like seeing the animals everywhere!
Contests such as the tractor pulls the giant pumpkin contest are worth observing.
I go back to about 1958 in attending the Spencer Fair as a high school student! I even shook the paw of a live buffalo!
Live entertainment will also attract a certain element of both old and young alike. Country singer, Mark Wills sings on Labor Day 3:00 P.M. All of the food vendors will offer goodies such as the Bloomin Onion!
