MY PBS VIDEO WEDNESDAY

I always enjoy watching PBS Videos. Today was no different. American Experience has features on Teddy Roosevelt, Truman , JFK and LBJ. The TR video was particularly interesting because Teddy was, perhaps, the most interesting President we ever had. Further, Roosevelt's period in American history is revealing of the times. From the advent of the automobile to the great white fleet, Teddy was in command. A character he was!

The building of the Panama Canal was hallmark in his administration. Teddy Roosevelt wanted to be everybody and every thing. And he was the youngest president ever elected. This one video is worth watching!

Next comes LBJ for the umpteenth time. It seems powerful men like TR and LBJ had massive egos. As in all cases, WARS play a role. War is terrible when we see what happens to the tens of thousands of casualties. It seems there will always be war?!

The Presidency back then seems so different that the Trump presidency or is it?

At any rate, the dastardly weather prevails. Thunder in the heavens right now. Baseball in Toronto. The Duracel Sox may win again?! Go Sox!
