THE GALES AND SNOWS OF MID-MAY

Who could believe it old man winter still holds on in mid-may. Unbelievable. The middle of Maine hosted March-type weather. But why. We have leaves on the trees and the grass needs mowing... and it is still blowing away. Tonight it is calmer.

Politics keeps brewing. I moved around to New Braintree and North Brookfield... cleaned my kitchen floor and counter and called my friend Nancy with birthday greetings and basked in the sunshine for about one half hour. B-O-R-I-N-G.

I don't know what's on the telly tonight.

Quiet. Have been thinking about Cape Cod. In 1964 I had the world by the tail as a National Park Ranger. How lucky can a young man be?
