At nautical dawn I shoved off for Beantown. It was 6:20 AM and 21 degrees. The Mass Pike was amazing to see the thousands of vehicles moving along nicely. In my UBER spirit I maneuvered around the streets of Boston arriving at 8:30 AM. My favorite phlebotomist Lin drew my blood better than Dracula!
Everything about my 135 mile RT was great. Dr. Dey and I chatted about Trump and other non-medical topics. Earlier, I checked in with "Dr. Shrink" who I hadn't seen since Sept. 20. Once again all went well.
Mass General Hospital also has Medical Museum. I visited it as I always enjoy learning about medicine. Between Roentgen discovering x-rays in 1985 and the Civil War medical techniques and nursing gave me my "fix." How lucky we are to live in the world of 2019!
The Eat Street Café offered me two slices of mushroom pizza and a Zero Coke. Plus I got a couple cans of V-8 on the house.
Traffic going home was decent considering it was a Friday rush. AM740 WJIB plays some excellent music from yesteryear.
I have a double booking in April. And, oh yes, my Mission roadside man was given $4.00 for his cause. On the way out a panhandler held a sign "Pregnant & homeless!" How would you like to be in her shoes? I gave her a dollar. Mercedes Benz cars and Audi's honk their horns at me. I don't give the finger and I am not intimidated by cheap charlies.
Amen!
