"JOHN POPE FROM ROME"

I served the U.S. Army in Vietnam as a medic. My commanding officer, Thomas Hudson Moss, Jr. told a very humorous worth repeating.

While practicing medicine in Rome, Georgia, Dr. Moss told of an old timer who came into his office with a puzzled look on his face.

Pope John Paul XXII was in the news quite a bit.. so the old man asked Dr. Moss " WHO IS THIS JOHN POPE FROM ROME?! The geezer thought it was a man named John Pope and lived in Rome, Georgia! LOL! Funny!
