REMEMBERING DONALD ST. CYR RIP

In the busy, hectic Christmastime we must remember Donald St. Cyr. Donald was a fifth grader at St. Joseph School, North Brookfield, MA in 1952, He and a friend were playing with Donald's father's shotgun. Bam. The trigger was pulled and Donald was killed.

The Sisters of St. Joseph were mortified with sadness as the student body passed by Donald's open casket. They were numb!

For a lifetime I am reminded  of Donald at this time of the year. Little Jimmy Boyd's record "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause" triggers this memory. It is probably the most remembered tragedy of my youth!
