Everyone talks about the weather but no one does anything about it. Since the 1980s and the Weather Channel the sensationalism of broadcast meteorology has brought weather big time into the homes of Americans and the world. Cable TV offers colors and graphics fit for a king. Colleges and universities are training the younger set in advancing techniques.
The Old Famer's Almanac was once the bible found in every farmhouse.. today it is a collectible with a hole bored in it for hanging. Boston Weatherman Don Kent revolutionized early television broadcasting. I was, perhaps, Kent's biggest fan. Today weather forecasts are exponential across the board
.
Synoptic forecasts are so much in depth leaving nothing to the imagination. But what about 50 years from now or 100 years from now. The sky will remain truly the limit.
