Huge trees were toppled by the tornadic forces winds from last night's thunderstorm in West Brookfield! The evidence is real as trees lie across the New Braintree Road and Wickaboag Valley Road. Birch Hill Road saw the devastation. Here on Route 9 heavy winds and rain were not as serious. I lost power for a few minutes.
This is the third such tempest to hit this Summer. Houses on North Main had trees falling and leaning on homes. Some homes are still without power as I write this blog . Josh reports a peak gust at 98 mph!?
More storms are forecast later today and tonight.
