MY SATURDAY OF INSPIRATION AND A LITTLE PERSPIRATION

Santa Clause came through my office door with a box entitle "Dual Powered Charging Station" and a lively crisp Hundred Dollar bill. "Merry Christmas, Bob." My High-Rolling Buddy" gave me two shots of happiness to being my day. Thanks, High roller! Little did I know Dick got by on 4 hours of sleep. He hit a Jackpot late into the night....

'We are not going to the Casinos today" said the man in his shiny Sierra. Instead we headed for New Braintree and amazingly so.. "Johnson" in his dauntless fashion thought he was driving his Hummer again. The backroad to New Braintree challenged my captain big time. Wow. we scraped bottom only once. I don't have that kind of raw courage. I learned my lesson when I wheeled a 1950 Chevrolet.

So we traced our boyhood memories yakking away about the Crocker Nye spring. We filled our Coke bottles of purity... drove up to the log cabin then headed for WSRS towers in Paxton. I tell you, Johnson knows his ship. The powers of the broadcast industry brought about amazement with me as Dick inspired me.. again. How lucky can I be to have .. not only a High roller but a high climber?!

Then it was to the Brookfield Orchards for more tweeking of our boyhood memories. We absorb our yesterdays knowing 2016 is at our doorsteps. Senior Engineer Richard B. Johnson then treated me to a Hot Dog Annie special: a bottle of her private labeled Hot Dog Annie Root beer and one dog. $7.50 please!.. The flavors of it all were special this last Saturday in December. Earlier in the day I showed Mr. Johnson my son Josh's new house (Manor) on Birch Hill..

After departing for Leominster, I volunteered to join the moving crew made up of 7 or eight or more of Josh and Heidi's friends. The "Armstrong Movers" tackled the move with great finesse. I'm an old man of 73 and my back is still good. It must be the good life I live. :LOL. If my kids had to pay moving rates .... at least $2,500 to move.. The move is reminiscent of the years I was an auctioneer. I only had one hernia repair in 30 years! But that was then.

A made a donation of 18 cans of Coor's Light. I ran into a 2nd cousin of mine, young Dr. Sokol. At age 25 she's going places in her chosen field of physical therapy. Nice to see successful family!

I got enough exercise to work up a good nap. The Men Who Built America.. especially Andrew Carnegie is a man after my own heart. Robber Barrons you say? No different than the robber bastards of today!

Tomorrow I head for Hartford to visit Samuel Clemens at his house on Farmington Ave then to the Museum of Radios, etc. These locations excite me... they inspire me.. and yes they instruct me.I may even stop and pay homage to the insurance company that sends me a retirement check every month. That inspires me too.

So this is the way my Saturday was...in shirtsleeve weather.5 days left in 2015 when you wake up in the morning. I hope your night rest is good.... "Remember...Each night I burn the records of the day..At sunrise every soul is born again!"
