In the early fifties I recall hearing family conversations of the New England shoe industry moving South. The textile factories in greater Boston moved too.It was a bad deal. One by one the brick edifices succumbed to the wrecking ball. Lots were cleared and things were forgotten."What factory"?
Souvenir picture post cards are what remains of a memory. I recall seeing and hearing the smokestack of the Quaboag being dismantled one brick at a time. This may have been around 1956. Once by one the factories disappeared. The American Optical in Southbridge may be the one local exception.
Bold new visions will be required To Make America Great Again!
Too many Big Shots lack visions. The boldness in DOING...in daring to take a shot will keep our prosperity in tack. I am afraid big business it too big for the "Little Guy." America must ROCK ON!
