Inventor of the light bulb, Thomas Alva Edison, would dance to the music coming from my Sony speakers blaring the piano music of Ronnie Aldrich and his twin pianos on this cold January night!
Life is good; life is great! My librarian friend downtown helped me, technically, on transmitting a surreal photo of SonJosh & Heidi's Dream Home on Birch Hill! Nearly 30 years ago I fulfilled my dream in crafting a 3,800+ square foot Hill Top dream two houses away.
My new Time Life Library on building get's my adrenaline going as I blog the ship out of this keyboard. My All-in-One is hiccupping and will go to Staples tomorrow. Certain things I just don't DO...as in dealing with "flunkies." Show me you are trying and I will give you the POTVIN T Shirt off my back! Screw-off and you're toast!
As I'm in a Building Mood, let me tell you, building this Dream Home as a Co-General Contractor was really fun. It brought out the best in me, was the source of sleepless nights and challenges and saw me onto VICTORY.
My Contractor, the great Richard Kemp helped me fulfill my vision I once experienced in Vietnam. "Someday, I mused in 1967, I will own a farm in the Brookfields. Little did I know I would see the Richardson House Parsonage of Old Sturbridge Village become reality
!
Russell Swinton Oatman, Architect, Late of Princeton, sold me plans for $600 and offered me services for maybe $6,000! No thanks.. Dad and Uncle Al taught me well and it all.
Today, I saw cousin, PAUL A> POTVIN of POTVIN PUMP FAME."Pumpkin" as we called his 68 years ago was friendly to me as we chatted down at the Key Store!
So now after riding around Town I delight in sharing my story with you blog readers. Thanks for the EAR!
Life can be fantastic in any weather if you work at it. Building the house after the first clown went bankrupt was no easy chore....and I did it! You too can have anything your little heart desires IF YOU ARE WILLING TO GIVE WHAT IT TAKES! whatever it takes is the key,, like my new "pieces of notched brass!" LOL.
