Have you ever taken an inventory of your accomplishments? From early ages we begin to stack up things like Merit Badges. I received but one in scouts: COIN COLLECTING. Some eagle scouts fly high in achievement... other's do not.
Out school teachers begin singling us out in achievement. Winning spelling bees and math competition is where many of us began. As in all of life our personalities produced results. If you were Championed you were on First Base. (It's called politics.)
Achievement comes in many flavors... such as SOLDIER OF THE MONTH or winning a science fair. I think it is judicious to dig out your medals and hand them on the wall. They were awarded to you at a given time and you know best what they stand for.
My favorite is The American Legion "Good Citizenship Award" what's yours?
