MUCKRAKERS OF PRESIDENT TRUMP

President Teddy Roosevelt resurrected the term muck rake from Pilgrim's Progress and it has stuck ever since. Investigative Journalism has enjoyed more than a century in the sun. Today, the clouds of progress threated journalists. First, there are so many of them vying for the spotlight, the internet is prevailing, like it or not.

One of my educated sons says 'people don't read books any more, Dad.'  Readers of newsprint, may in part participate because they are illiterate to the ways of Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates. There's a struggle in the media that is meaningful. It is not one reporter in front of a television camera but ten... and it is getting more obvious with every passing day.

I am reasonably resolute to capture the sizzle. More importantly I seek an interesting truth. Trump's inauguration will be revealing for as long as The Donald dictates from his Bully Pulpit.Snippets of soundbites replace printers' ink. The free-for-all isn't free except for my blog. That's good.

In reading assiduously the written word tonight in The Times I seriously wonder how any investigative journalist ( in the absence of wisdom) will win their persuasive battles.? "Mr. President" seems as quick as Muhammed Ali was. I, as student of auctioneering, casualty insurance adjusting, free-lance writing and 74 years on Planet Earth wonder how smart these people can be? Time will tell.

Each day I will read carefully what will be written  and spoken by these tyros. As Harry Truman said "The Truth Never Fell Dead In The Street!"

Pay attention to all of the muckrakers!
