MY FRENCH-CANADIAN ROOTS - POULIN

The following is legend handed down by mother Rita Ida Poulin Potvin:
 CANADA
'Joseph Poulin - Big tall, raw-boned man; wood chopper Was killed by a fallen tree. He would pick up his son in one hand, and say " I'm still the boss, Joseph!" (Cordelia ( his wife.)

Joseph Poulin - Lived and trapped with the Indians around Lake Superior until he was 14. He was a railroad night watchman. Pipe smoker. Died of tongue cancer.

Marie Tetreault - his wife from Putnam,, CT - died at the age of 34. They had eight children, and they were:

 J. OSCAR POULIN  Married Ida Marie Ledoux of N. Brookfield 1892-1954.
They had 7 children:
Rita I Potvin 1916,Albert J. Poulin 1918, M. Dolorosa Brodeur 1919,Florence V. Kizzle 1920, Jeannette D. Sokol  1927, Francis Poulin 1929, Blanche I. Borelli 1931
