ATTENDING THE 1987 WORLD SERIES IN ST. LOUIS

St Louis was no stranger to Ben and Josh! In early 1980s "Kids Flew Free" and we flew to St. Louis. In 1987 the Potvin family returned to St. Louis for the World Series. I obtained tickets for the three games from Dr. Arthur Pappas. Ben recalls "being pulled from school" Josh recalled the vacation was  "fun!"St. Louis was hopping from viewing the Gateway Arch to seeing Anheiser-Bush with the team of Clidesdale pulling a wagon around the field. People were UP for the event. Attendance was 53,347 for each of all three games. We sat in center field on a "very chilly night." I returned to St. Louis University with my sons for them to see what it was all about. We had diner with a professor.. maybe Father Bosken? On the flight back to Boston Josh obtained autographs from members of the Boston Bruins. Our vacation to the World Series - Priceless!
