MY LATE FRIEND, RONALD A. STACKOW

I liked "Stackow! We were neighborhood friends and it was because of our love of U.S. history and collecting stamps and coins did we click. Ronnie was Polish-American and I French-Canadian American.. It was Ronnie who got me a job at the Brookfield Orchards.

We both graduated from NBHS...both attended Worceter Junior College ..  1960"Stack" was a jock, I wasn't. We were both intellectuals Veterans and saw some of the world. Ronnie moved to Colorado while I to Wyoming for a bit. Then in 2000 Ronnie and I re-connected.

I was  a candidate for Congress Ronnie looked me up and we did things like going to a train show at the Big E.in Springfield. He served as my driver. We both enjoyed our renewed friendship. Ronnie taught me much in his final years...then suddenly he died at age 58. Annette and Sara cried as did I at his funeral mass. Ronnie was our friend.
