J. Irving England sends his regards from Heaven! He is the man that helped make West Brookfield what it is:a desirable place in the country to live, love and raise a family.
Today hundreds of Quaboag students, families and friends congregated around the stately fountain of three maidens one of which pours waters from her urn. England made it all possible with his investment in posterity. Now, as benefactors we enjoy this Spring Weekend.
The colors of the rainbow can be found in the "Gowns of the Princesses." Proud mothers, fathers, grandparents and the like walked over the gently manicured turf of May with their SmartPhones. Three Lizak Tour Busses were parked next to the Helen Paige Shackley Bandstand.
I think in just a few years my four Munchkins will be bringing their Dates to the Quaboag Junior Prom. The Days of Our Youth are the Days of our Glory." right, GLORY Wedge?
Chris Rodzik, Annette Valencourt and others danced to Buddy Holly and the advent of Rock n' Roll. But that was more than five decades ago! OMG.
How lucky we are to appreciate today's youth. I love it. Hair styles defy all traditions. Millennials live their lives crying Independence! Why not? I have always maintained the most difficult thing in life is JUST TO BE YOURSELVES! You can get more mileage out of life by being YOU!
AND NOW..ASPARAGUS.

This festival is more than 'chowder." It's the community's way of rolling out the carpet on the natural carpet of a mown lawn.. SO.. Y'all come to The West... and spend some bucks. It will be the correct thing to, regardless of the weather!
