April Love brought me my first-born son, R BENJAMIN POTVIN some 3 years later in May of 1972! Ben's birth was eclipsed by that of Joshua Byron's birth two years later, in August of 1974.Enjoying every moment for almost one half century has been the delight of my life seeing my boys emerge into adults and fathers of the highest order. More than one person has volunteered you have two fine sons, Bob!
Last evening in the confines of my newly decorated Poodle-House I grabbed a book by my friend: Rev. Norman Vincent Peale! It was his 1984 autobiography. For more than two hours I poured over certain chapters in delight. My Mental Shampoo was a success.
Peale's story-telling prowess is second to none.
"One day I ran into another old friend of mine, BISHOP FULTON J. SHEEN when he was along in years, and I was struck anew by his dynamic quality: 'My but you look good' I exclaimed! Whereupon he asked "did you ever hear of the three ages of man?"
"What are they I asked?"
"YOUTH, MIDDLE AGE, AND MY YOU LOOK GOOD!"
"Bishop Sheen's secret was he was always fascinated by the world, and he loved people and kept up his good humor."
Isn't that the truth? Being of good cheer is half of life's battle. Sure, we all have problems and it isn't the problems that floor us.. it's how we react to them!
So, on this glorious May morning I submit "Every things going to go my way!" and I 'll begin it by going for a morning stroll!
Sincerely,
ROBERT LOUIS POTVIN
