Head Curator of Books, Elizabeth Watts Pope was kind enough to share with me all of the history books plus photos of the Brookfields. Our little community is very well documented and I thank Elizabeth for her kindness.
It seems the churches of yesteryear served taproots of WB. Right up to Jeffrey Fiske's History of West Brookfield are things documented. I don't claim to be anything but a lover of U.S. History. From my NBHS term paper of The North Precinct in 1960, have I delved into our past and loving it. Being an antique dealer and estate auctioneer rings my front door bell..
Also, Dr. Roy's book is a guiding light. The AAS staff ,so scholarly but warm, work hard in preserving our Country's past... and the AAS website is awesome. Why not log onto it and enjoy digitized images. It is great.
I really challenge our fine educators, parents and grandparents to keep the fires glowing. We live in an incredible time. Let's enjoy our past!
