Mitch Miller came on to the music scene big time in the fifties and sixties with 40 singles! A song I have emblazoned onto my soul is THERE'S A YELLOW ROSE IN TEXAS!
Mitch Miller's bouncing ball on the TV screen was wonderful. Families pulled together with this wholesome fun for all. America was singing in front of the Tube! We were innocent!
I only owned one Mitch LP. The one posted below. I particularly enjoyed it because of the tune: "Happy Days are Here Again." This was the theme song of FDR in his 1932 Presidential Campaign!
Today I snatched Christmas Albums galore... mostly "Sing Along With Mitch!" These are real and not Rock n Roll! Mitch Miller ruled the roost from 1961 to 1966. You can access MM many ways in time for Christmas. Holiday parties will be embellished with Mitch Miller & Gang singing in the background! Combined with Ray Conniff's 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas' album, your days will be happier! I know mine will!!
