LBJ was still wet behind the ears as he came down the line "pressing flesh" to the well-wishers on Campus. 10,000 in all. I was seen on television. Little did I know of the profound influence this one man, the president of the United States would have on my life.It was a seminal moment indeed!Being stationed at Ft. Sam Houston two years later allowed me to enjoy a visceral visit to Johnson's Hill Country. The Vietnam War just wasn't as big as The Man was!
