"The four - day omission of commercials while reporting on events relating to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy cost the radio and televisions networks $25.6 million. The networks spent an additional $3.1 million in providing coverage."
I remember it well. For four days somber, sad, and selective music was player, uninterrupted. Then at Monday midnight station WIL in Saint Louis began playing Rock and Roll again. Our lives went on but never to be the same again.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy seems to be the "Man of the Hour" ever since, 54 years later!
