ON BEING A PUBLIC SERVANT TODAY 2018

WIIFM - Is this the clarion of public servants today? What's in it for me doesn't imply the correct attitude, necessarily! Be it a policeman, fireman, teacher, whatever, the true public servant seems to have been thwarted by the times.


Public service means SERVING THE PUBLIC! Don't enjoy your position? Get out! I did that with my corporate career almost 41 years ago. HArry Truman is quoted as saying 'Can't stand the heat... get out of the kitchen!"


Misery loves company. It will be a BOLD move to quit your job, and in time, after some soul searching the skies will clear. "The undiscovered life isn't worth living." Our worlds of 2018 are under attack both literally and figuratively. Now, the move is for you to "re-invent life."
